Fox Corporation has announced plans for a direct-to-consumer streaming platform by late 2025. The service will focus on news and sports, targeting audiences beyond traditional pay TV. Pricing and content details remain undisclosed but Fox aims to strengthen its digital presence. 

Apple TV App Now Available for Android Users 

Apple has expanded its reach by launching the Apple TV app on Android devices worldwide. Available on Google Play, the app provides access to Apple TV+, including Apple Originals and the MLS Season Pass. Users can subscribe via Google Play and sync their viewing experience across devices. 

Bromley FC+ Enhances Fan Engagement 

Bromley FC has introduced Bromley FC+, a dedicated streaming service offering live match coverage, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, and club-related media. This launch supports the club’s goal of growing its supporter base. 

StreamState: A Streaming Hub for Maine Content 

StreamState, a new Maine-based streaming service, launched on February 1st. It offers films, TV shows, and cultural content focused on Maine. In February, all content is free, but subscriptions will start at USD 5.00 in March.

Caliente TV Introduces Subscription Model 

Caliente TV, Mexico’s sports streaming platform, has ended its free trial. Users must now subscribe for USD 5.60 per month or USD 48.60 per year. The platform offers major sports events, including UEFA Champions League and Liga MX matches. 

Caracol Televisión Launches ditu in Colombia 

Caracol Televisión has introduced ditu, a free streaming service offering live news, sports broadcasts, and popular Caracol productions. Available since February 17th, the service does not require registration. 

Brazil Announces Tela Brasil Streaming Service 

The Brazilian government will launch Tela Brasil in 2025 to promote local audiovisual content. Backed by a USD 223 million investment, the platform will showcase diverse Brazilian productions. 

Europe: Streaming Innovations and Service Expansions 

Sky Deutschland Expands trendSports to More Users 

Sky Deutschland has launched the trendSports app for cable and Sky Stream users. Offering six sports channels, the service includes over 4,000 hours of live sports, highlights, and documentaries. Subscriptions start at EUR 5.99 per month.

JioHotstar Debuts as a Unified Streaming Service 

On February 14th, 2025, Reliance Industries and Disney Star launched JioHotstar in India. The platform merges JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar, offering over 300,000 hours of content in 19 languages. Free content is available, while premium plans start at INR 149. 

Arabsat to Develop a New Streaming Service 

At FOMEX 2025, Arabsat and Qvest announced a partnership to create a new streaming platform in Saudi Arabia. This initiative will integrate satellite distribution with digital streaming technology.
