O2 Telefónica launched a new streaming platform in Germany on September 25th, offering over 130 HD channels, on-demand content, and 100 hours of cloud storage.

In Ireland, Simplestream has teamed up with Virgin Media Television to enhance Virgin Media Play, a platform offering live TV, on-demand, and catch-up services across multiple devices. 

Meanwhile, TiVO has expanded its content discovery platform across Europe, simplifying searches for streaming, live TV, and on-demand content.

North America’s highlights

In North America, Gotham Advanced Media and YES Network will debut the Gotham Sports app this fall, providing access to local games from teams like the Knicks and Yankees.

Cranked Up Films is preparing to launch Cranked Up TV, a horror-centric streaming service featuring exclusive content for fans of the genre. 

The Stars have introduced Victory+, a free app offering game streaming and commentary, replacing Bally Sports Southwest. 

Latin America & The Caribbean’s highlights

IZZY, an Israeli streaming platform, has expanded to Latin America, bringing over 100 titles with subtitles in multiple languages.

Brazil’s independent cinema platform Zumb launched on September 13th, featuring curated selections of non-commercial films with Portuguese subtitles.

Cantv will launch its streaming service Aba TV Go on October 1st, offering 130 linear TV channels to Aba Ultra fiber optic Internet customers. 

Asia’s highlights

Warner Bros. Discovery launched Max in the Asia-Pacific region, beginning with Japan through U-Next.
